We are back open! The Museum is open to the public and observing social distancing guidelines.
As part of the celebration of Lunar New Year, Year of the Ox, we will have folklore readings on February 13
at 1 pm and 3 pm, on the origins of Lunar New Year.
On February 20, we will be doing an education day. At this event, we will have:
Origami lessons from 11 am - 5 pm.
Weapons classes from 11 am - 5 pm.
A build your lion costume craft from 12 pm - 2 pm.
Finally, calligraphy lessons after build your lion costume.
Also, our February 14 Valentine's Day event has been postponed due to the weather. The new date is now February 28, as our Lunar New Year Closing Celebration event. We are having Wings Over Society performing once again here at the museum. The Museum will be open from 2 pm to 8 pm, the band will be performing at 6 pm and this show will be in our courtyard.
Our artist spotlight display is open, and we will display a rotating group of artists or artworks every few weeks.
This will also be housing many artworks that are topics of the presentations to come.

Come see our Hakata Hall, open now, running through the end of 2021 at least. Home to 517 of our Hakata dolls, part of one of the largest collections of Hakata Dolls in the world.
